Vampire killing kit.

This is my go at a vampire killing kit. It's been a slow-cooking project, I made the hammer and stake almost three years ago.
Then i finally came around and made the box about six months ago. It's still not entirely finished (need to find/make a rosary get a prayer book not in Swedish, add some handles and so on...)

The general idea was to make a realistic no-nonsense kit, a bit more like a a medical instrument box then a folklore thing.
I read somewhere that poppy seeds could be used against vampires due to their supposed narcotic effect. I thougt chloroform would work even better...

(Also, bad photos cause my good camera is dead)

  1. First of all... you should update your blog moreeee!!! XDDD . I´m sure you have more incredible things to show!
This kit is awesome!!! I want to make one for me as well...I got the vintage bible and the christ ...
I presume almost all of this kit are antiques , as they have a really old look.
The job in hammer and stake is amazing!
    Congratz!!!

    1. Thanks! Actually, the only things that are antiques are the bottles and the book. the Christ figure was taken from another cross and put on one I made from ash. The hammer, stake and box was all made from scratch.

  2. A superb and beautiful job. Lesser kits (both in terms of ageing and aesthetics) have been sold as genuine for a lot of money.

    If you're interested, I have an article on the 'real' kits out soon, also these;

    1. Thank you! I did a bit of research on the Blomberg kits and the supposed genuine ones before starting this,Intresting blog, it's bookmared.

I still got three more pairs of hammers and stakes to box so there is still room for improvment!

  3. I love your kit. the pieces fit so well and it looks beautifully aged. Poppy seeds? I'll have to look at that. I know some Vampires can be contained by spilling something with a lot of little pieces (poppy seeds, maybe? The Chinese use rice) because the Vampire is compelled to count them all and can't move until he finishes.Yes,chloroform sounds useful. I might add that to my own kit.

  4. So that is why the count in sesame street is obsessed with counting things? Besides the obvious word pun of course. Brilliant!

  5. Yes the dead like to count things and solving puzzles. In some places they used to bury suspected vampires with pieces of net and the corpse would undo one knot every year. Keep em busy...

  8. Oh, that's very nice. Bit more realist--with the sizable mallot and very proper stake as centerpieces--than most kits. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

From the same lovely person who did that brilliant steam-raygun ages ago and...apparently Thor's costume design in 'Kung Fury'? That's a resume I respect.).
