The Redcap

Robin Redcap, goblin fiend. Captured at Hermitage castle, Scotland.

This was a commissioned work, Newest in the line of tiny dead creatures. a Redcap goblin.
as usual I wanted to create a sense of realism, a feral, dirty, ragged goblin who lived by eating rats and insects in the cellar of old Scottish castle. Caught and enshrined century's ago.

I tried to go as far from fantasy as I could and more towards folklore and old forgotten fairytales, partly inspired by Hieronymus Bosch paintings and Inca mummy's.

    1. Pro tip: Unless there's a sign that says, "Please be brutally critical of my art because all that matters is how it comes across to you!", just keep scrolling. Why did it have to be you? It didn't. Nobody made you comment and it really is none of your concern. I realize this is an old comment, but still.
